It’s the idea of aligning yourself with the natural flow of life instead of struggling against it.

Because so many of us are taught we have to “force” our way to success.

Whether that’s through doing things we don’t like doing because someone else told us that’s what we have to do...

Or because we’re doing something we’re told should work but doesn’t for us, but we bang our head against the wall refusing to move on and take the L.

A perfect example of this for me was back when I was selling my group coaching program for copywriters, the entire thing was very forced.

  • Using a sales script instead of having a genuine conversation with someone and not resorting to hard sell tactics

  • Having a hard promise in a specific time frame (no shade on that, just not for me)

  • Making it sound too easy (ie. no experience required)

  • Running group coaching calls

  • Holding people accountable to doing the work

All of the above sucked the life out of me and none of it was aligned with my natural tendencies at all.

Which, fine, that’s going to happen sometimes.

But if every part of your business goes against every fiber of your being, something is wrong.

And that’s what that was for me.

So you can see why even though I was making multiple 6-figures working just 1-2 hours a day as a one man show...

I burnt out and shut it down.

Because while the work was easy...

It wasn’t work that got me excited or into flow state.

I was focusing on WHAT I was doing...

Not HOW I was doing it.

I’ve found that it’s rarely ever so much WHAT you do, but HOW you do it.

The easiest example of this would be in splitting your offers up by DFY, DWY, and DIY.

You can love creating DIY content or courses and also love doing the work for clients as a service...

While not liking coaching at all.

So in that instance, if you were only spending your time coaching you’d really not like your business and feel like every part of it is a drag.

Vs. if you were to shift to content creation and making courses that upsold to a high-end done for you offer...

That would probably excite you!

This goes to every area of business, not just your model, either.

I also discovered I really don’t like managing people.

I pivot quickly, and want things done my way.

That may change some day.

But for now, I show up, write content, consult with clients, have them buy my books and courses, and that’s my day.

No meetings with a team.

No quality assurance on the quality of their work.

None of that.

And I’m so happy since I let go of the belief I have to build a team like everyone’s told me I should.

Also making more money, effortlessly, thanks to it too!

So once you’ve established what you do in your business that isn’t Wu Wei (aka the things you feel like you have to trudge through)...

You gotta use my Triple D (hehe) framework to get out of that.

  • Delete it (aka get rid of it altogether)

  • Delegate it

  • Do it differently

Once you delete, delegate, or do it differently...

You’ll find running your business becomes effortless.

You’ll find yourself in a state of flow.

You’ll get to work on things you enjoy and find meaningful.

Business will run smoother.

Clients will come easier.

And life will be better.

Here’s proof:

I deleted my whole business coaching copywriters and did it differently.

I looked at what came to me naturally and what I really enjoyed doing:

  1. Coming up with ideas, especially about marketing

  2. Making friends and connecting people
