Is your back-end sticky enough?💩

Here are the 3 C's of creating back-end offers clients never want to leave

There’s a very little-known secret to creating “sticky” back-end offers that make people want to pay you again and again, month after month...

For YEARS.

This works just the same on front-end recurring offers.

But the example I’m going to give is specifically for back-ends.

My “sticky” back-end has retained $1K/mo clients for almost 2 years now.

I guess you could say I specialize in back-ends 😎

Jokes aside...

If you DON’T have a recurring revenue offer...

Or you DO and want to drastically increase your retention rate...

Back in the day...

I ran a 90 day program to help copywriters land retainer clients.

That sold for $6800.

Then the back-end program sold for $1K/mo recurring.

Side note: I upsold those people to my recurring program through just 2 Discord messages. That’s what happens when you have a great client experience on your front-end!

I’ve still got some clients on that $1K/mo and it’s been about 2 years now.

That’s how powerful what I’m about to show you is.

Anywho...

The system was so good at helping them GET clients...

That they needed help KEEPING clients.

And that came with a few different things - which bring me to the 3 Cs of sticky back ends:

1. Copy review (crack)

2. Client management (coaching)

3. Community & sense of belonging (community)

I’ll break each of these down and why they were so effective at retaining my clients.

1. Copy Review (crack)

Copywriters always want to improve their copy.

So selling copy review is like selling crack to them.

They can never get enough.

They’re constantly writing for a variety of clients, and don’t always feel super confident in their writing skills.

Sometimes it’s because they’re writing a more tricky email.

Other times it’s because it’s a new client and they want to make sure the pain points are dialed in.

So they’d often submit their copy for review.

This was tremendously valuable for them.

Since, using my system, many were making an additional $5K-$10K/mo.

So $1K/mo to get ongoing help and support in handling clients, upselling them, and reviewing their work was easily justified,

2. Client Management (coaching)

Because of how good my client success system was, copywriters would quickly be fully booked with clients.

But they’d have a hard time setting boundaries.

So oddly enough...

We spent most of our consulting and coaching calls helping them set boundaries, teach them how to say no to clients who want them to do more work beyond the scope of their agreement etc.

I was there to give them permission to set boundaries

^^ this is KEY for your clients.

People will often pay just to have someone there to give them permission.

People want your help implementing the crack component.

And are willing to pay ongoing to get help for that.

Plus, when you can set the right expectations in the right way clients stay forever.

Because the easiest way to lose clients is to have them come into your program with the wrong expectations.

3. Community (community lol)

I was shocked.

The copywriters were flying out to meet up in person.

They’d post pictures in the group chat.

And mention often how they feel so good being around other high performers!

That made me super happy since creating communities is something I really enjoy.

But in the business sense, it made it hard for many to leave, which increased retention rate significantly.

If you can have a very strong community, it will make it very tough for people to want to leave, even if you have a subpar product.

So there you have it!

When you want to make your recurring offer more “sticky”, it’s crucial to:

  1. Find what is the ‘crack’ your ideal client can’t get enough of

  2. Create opportunities for them to get coached as they implement said crack

  3. Invest time in cultivating the community so people never want to leave

Now go forth.

And make your back-end sticky.

No, not like that you weirdo.
